University of Lincoln

The University of Lincoln has around 12,000 students and 1,300 staff with campuses in central Lincoln, Riseholme and Holbeach in the UK. Capital investment over the last decade has exceeded £150 million and a dynamic build programme continues to add to this investment. Lincoln secured an increase in national research funding of more than 620% following the UK's 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) when more than two thirds of its submitted research was recognised as having world-leading elements. It receives funding from major UK research councils and charities as well as the European grants and industry funds for research. In its last institutional review by the UK's Quality Assurance Agency, the University was commended for its enhancement of student learning opportunities, driven by the innovative Student as Producer project. Students rated Lincoln’s courses in the top quarter in the UK for student satisfaction in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2013 and the institution was named the safest university in the East Midlands by the Complete University Guide 2013. The employment prospects of Lincoln graduates are strong with 92% of Lincoln’s graduates in work or further study six months after finishing their degree and two thirds in graduate level roles. The University's pioneering approach to engagement with industry has been widely recognised, including a Lord Stafford Award in 2011. The University of Lincoln was shortlisted for the title Entrepreneurial University of the Year in the 2013 THE Awards.
