Queensland Brain Insitute

Researchers at the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) work to discover the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie the ability of the adult brain to generate new nerve cells and form functional connections. At QBI there are more than 280 dedicated neuroscientists working to improve the understanding of how the human brain operates. The researchers work under the guidance of 33 laboratory heads, each world-renowned investigators in their field. These groups work across several research themes.
