The
SSTAR project has focused on increasing the operational voltage level of
solid-state transformers (SSTs), a key technology for future medium-voltage DC grids, enabling wider applications and more sustainable power grid solutions.
To mark the end of the project, the
SSTAR final event “Beyond the Prototype: From Development to Deployment of High Voltage Solid-State Transformers” will take place on
25 February 2026 at
Mobility City, Zaragoza (Spain), with the possibility to attend online.
The event will present the project’s main results and open a discussion on system integration, real-world deployment and the role of SSTs in the next phase of grid innovation, bringing together
experts from industry, grid operation and policy.
Participants wishing to attend in person are invited to
register by 13 February 2026.
