Media registrations are now open for the 15th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC15)

The 15th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC15) will be taking place in Barcelona, Spain, 25-27 March 2026.
Registration for media is free and is now open.

What is EBCC?

Europe’s most exciting international cancer conference is the only one to involve all the major players in breast cancer, encouraging interaction between scientists, clinicians and patient representatives in a partnership of equals to talk not just about the very latest scientific advances, but also the ethical, social, political, and practical issues associated with caring for patients with breast cancer. EBCC15 is expected to attract around 2000 delegates from around 80 countries worldwide. It is the largest breast cancer conference outside the USA.

The conference covers the entire spectrum of breast cancer and highlights what is new across fields as diverse as:

  • Elderly breast cancer patients: the challenges and choices
  • New diagnostic tools to guide treatment
  • Advances in targeted therapies
  • Artificial intelligence (AI) and its role in patient care
  • Less toxic treatment for axillary lymph nodes
  • Tailoring treatment for early breast cancer
  • Latest findings on immunotherapy treatments
  • Making breast cancer treatment more bearable for patients
  • Breast cancer genetics
  • The role played by AI and lifestyle factors (e.g. obesity, alcohol use) in assessing risk.

We welcome the media to EBCC15. All sessions are open to journalists and registration is free to bona fide journalists on presentation of official press credentials. A media centre with power and internet connections will be available.

Scientific sessions will be recorded and should become available online for registered participants within 24 hours of the conclusion of the conference. Even if you cannot be in Barcelona, you need to register as media in order to see recordings of the sessions.

Testimonials

For well over a decade, in my capacity as a researcher, broadcaster, and producer, I have relied heavily on Alphagalileo.
All of my work trips have been planned around stories that I've found on this site.
The under embargo section allows us to plan ahead and the news releases enable us to find key experts.
Going through the tailored daily updates is the best way to start the day. It's such a critical service for me and many of my colleagues.
Koula Bouloukos, Senior manager, Editorial & Production Underknown
We have used AlphaGalileo since its foundation but frankly we need it more than ever now to ensure our research news is heard across Europe, Asia and North America. As one of the UK’s leading research universities we want to continue to work with other outstanding researchers in Europe. AlphaGalileo helps us to continue to bring our research story to them and the rest of the world.
Peter Dunn, Director of Press and Media Relations at the University of Warwick
AlphaGalileo has helped us more than double our reach at SciDev.Net. The service has enabled our journalists around the world to reach the mainstream media with articles about the impact of science on people in low- and middle-income countries, leading to big increases in the number of SciDev.Net articles that have been republished.
Ben Deighton, SciDevNet
