19/06/2025 Compuscript Ltd

June 19, 2025 – Shannon, Ireland; Hengyang & Shanghai, China — Compuscript is pleased to announce that the open access journal Bio Integration (https://bio-integration.org/) will now be jointly supported by two leading academic institutions. The Institute of Medical Imaging, University of South China, Hengyang, China, the journal’s current institutional owner, is being joined by the Institute of Sports Medicine, Fudan University, Shanghai, China as a new co-owner and academic partner.

Launched in 2020, Bio Integration has developed into a widely respected platform for interdisciplinary research spanning biomaterials, regenerative medicine, medical devices, and translational healthcare.
The combined academic leadership of the University of South China and Fudan University positions the journal for continued growth and greater global impact.

"We are proud to have supported the launch and rapid development of Bio Integration" said Morgan Lyons, CEO of Compuscript. " Welcoming Fudan University as a new institutional partner ensures the journal is well placed for its next stage of development—deepening its academic roots while expanding its international reach."

New Editorial Appointment
As part of this transition, Compuscript and the journal’s editorial board are also pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Chaozong Liu (University College London, United Kingdom) as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Bio Integration. Professor Liu is a leading figure in orthopaedic engineering and biomaterials research, and his experience will be instrumental in shaping the journal’s editorial direction going forward.

Compuscript extends its sincere thanks to the authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and readers who have supported Bio Integration to date. We look forward to seeing the journal flourish in its new academic setting and continue to serve as a valuable resource for the biomedical research community.

Testimonials

For well over a decade, in my capacity as a researcher, broadcaster, and producer, I have relied heavily on Alphagalileo.
All of my work trips have been planned around stories that I've found on this site.
The under embargo section allows us to plan ahead and the news releases enable us to find key experts.
Going through the tailored daily updates is the best way to start the day. It's such a critical service for me and many of my colleagues.
Koula Bouloukos, Senior manager, Editorial & Production Underknown
We have used AlphaGalileo since its foundation but frankly we need it more than ever now to ensure our research news is heard across Europe, Asia and North America. As one of the UK’s leading research universities we want to continue to work with other outstanding researchers in Europe. AlphaGalileo helps us to continue to bring our research story to them and the rest of the world.
Peter Dunn, Director of Press and Media Relations at the University of Warwick
AlphaGalileo has helped us more than double our reach at SciDev.Net. The service has enabled our journalists around the world to reach the mainstream media with articles about the impact of science on people in low- and middle-income countries, leading to big increases in the number of SciDev.Net articles that have been republished.
