Coronavirus: CSH Vienna provides dataset with more than 170 governmental control strategies against Covid-19

The Complexity Science Hub Vienna makes the “CSH Covid-19 Control Strategies List” (CCCSL) available, a large dataset of governmental measures against the spreading of COVID-19 in, to date, 41 countries. (More to come!)

[Vienna, April 2, 2020] Throughout the world, governments have set bundles of measures against the coronavirus pandemia. Scientists at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna (CSH) have identified more than 170 single measures. More than 30 people helped to collect the dates of implementation of these measures in, to date, 41 countries, including the Diamond Princess.

“The CSH Covid-19 Control Strategies List (CCCSL) is a huge effort. So far it is the most comprehensive dataset on governmental measures against Covid-19,” says project leader Amélie Desvars-Larrive. “Of course we will continually update the list and add new countries”.

The CSH Vienna invites scientists around the world to download the dataset for their own analysis.

The CCCSL is currently available via

“We also welcome any help for completion and updates,” adds Amélie Desvars-Larrive.

Those interested in helping to complete the CCCSL, will find further guidance on the CSH webpage

We have used AlphaGalileo since its foundation but frankly we need it more than ever now to ensure our research news is heard across Europe, Asia and North America. As one of the UK’s leading research universities we want to continue to work with other outstanding researchers in Europe. AlphaGalileo helps us to continue to bring our research story to them and the rest of the world.

AlphaGalileo has helped us more than double our reach at SciDev.Net. The service has enabled our journalists around the world to reach the mainstream media with articles about the impact of science on people in low- and middle-income countries, leading to big increases in the number of SciDev.Net articles that have been republished.
