Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and University of Eastern Finland (UEF) have published their view on the role of forest-based bioeconomy in the EU. Furthermore, the position paper proposes what kind of forest research should be prioritized in the EU in the coming years.
The paper stresses that forest-related policies and decision making need to be based on solid scientific evidence to address climate change and to create sustainable growth.
