Media invitation: Online media briefing ahead of Sentinel-6B launch



Media are invited to attend an online media briefing on the significance of the Copernicus Sentinel-6B satellite. The session will feature speakers from EUMETSAT, ESA, the European Commission, NASA as well as Mercator Ocean International.

The Copernicus Sentinel-6B satellite is scheduled for launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California (USA) no earlier than 17 November UTC. The official launch date and further details will be shared as soon as available.
The satellite will continue a unique 30-year record of sea-level observations – a key indicator of climate change.

The data from this mission will enhance weather, ocean state and climate forecasts and support effective water management.
