What is ESTRO 2025?
ESTRO 2025 will showcase cutting-edge research in clinical radiation oncology, radiobiology, physics, technology, patient care, radiation therapy, and brachytherapy. The congress will bring together leading clinicians, scientists, and radiation therapists from across the world, working collaboratively to advance cancer treatment and improve patient outcomes.

The event is expected to welcome 7,000 delegates from over 80 countries.

Covering the entire spectrum of radiotherapy, ESTRO 2025 will highlight the latest developments for radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists and radiobiologists. The programme will focus on:

  • The latest clinical trials advancing radiation oncology as well as transformative partnerships aimed at improving cancer care and outcomes such as patient involvement, multi-centre collaboration and next-generation technologies, while addressing global challenges like workforce shortages, recruitment and education as well as sustainability.
  • The latest advancements in cancer treatment and radiotherapy, addressing novel systemic therapies in EBRT, SFRT, and reirradiation for various cancers including brain, breast, lung, gastro-intestinal, skin, sarcoma and paediatric cancers. It also discusses challenges in management, palliative care, and local treatment strategies while highlighting the importance of optimising patient-centred approaches in oncology.
  • The various applications of brachytherapy in cancer treatment, covering specialties such as gynaecology, urology, and head & neck cancers,
  • Cutting-edge advancements in AI technologies, adaptive radiotherapy, imaging, dosimetry and QA, and treatment planning and optimisation for radiotherapy, focusing on improving accuracy and enhancing treatment outcomes.

We have used AlphaGalileo since its foundation but frankly we need it more than ever now to ensure our research news is heard across Europe, Asia and North America. As one of the UK’s leading research universities we want to continue to work with other outstanding researchers in Europe. AlphaGalileo helps us to continue to bring our research story to them and the rest of the world.

AlphaGalileo has helped us more than double our reach at SciDev.Net. The service has enabled our journalists around the world to reach the mainstream media with articles about the impact of science on people in low- and middle-income countries, leading to big increases in the number of SciDev.Net articles that have been republished.
