The GUARDIANS Project Launches Its Technology Catalogue and Video Pitches Series

18/12/2025 youris.com

The GUARDIANS project has published its technology catalogue and a set of explainer videos to help farmers and agri-food producers make use of the project's pioneering technologies.

Together, these resources provide an overview of the digital technologies developed within the GUARDIANS project, supporting small and medium-sized farms in their transition towards more sustainable, resilient, and data-driven farming practices.

The Technology Catalogue

The technology catalogue presents the nine innovative technologies developed and validated within the project. It is designed as a practical tool for farmers, advisors, technology providers, and other stakeholders interested in adopting digital solutions in real agricultural contexts.

For each technology, the catalogue includes a technical sheet covering:

  • A clear description of the technology

  • Technical specifications

  • Key benefits and added value for farmers in supporting day-to-day farming activities and decision-making

  • Practical insights to support adoption.

The catalogue highlights how these technologies can be effectively integrated into farm activities, helping farmers improve productivity, sustainability, environmental monitoring, and resource management.

Each technology sheet also includes a link to an explainer video with more in-depth information.

Technology Video Pitches

To complement the catalogue, GUARDIANS has produced a series of short videos, one for each of the nine technologies. In these videos, which are available on the GUARDIANS YouTube channel, technology providers present:

  • The main objectives of the solution

  • How it works in practice

  • The key benefits for farmers and end users

  • Potential application in different farming contexts.

In addition, a merged video brings together all individual pitches into a single technological portfolio.

These videos are directly linked within the technology catalogue so that farmers and other stakeholders can benefit from both written and visual explanations.

Background

Funded under the Horizon Europe programme, GUARDIANS aims to empower small and medium-sized farms by providing tailored digital solutions that respond to real needs identified through co-creation with farmers and stakeholders.

By combining a structured technology catalogue with accessible video content, GUARDIANS strengthens knowledge transfer and lowers barriers to technology adoption, supporting farmers in their role as guardians of the territory.

Testimonios

We have used AlphaGalileo since its foundation but frankly we need it more than ever now to ensure our research news is heard across Europe, Asia and North America. As one of the UK’s leading research universities we want to continue to work with other outstanding researchers in Europe. AlphaGalileo helps us to continue to bring our research story to them and the rest of the world.
Peter Dunn, Director of Press and Media Relations at the University of Warwick
AlphaGalileo has helped us more than double our reach at SciDev.Net. The service has enabled our journalists around the world to reach the mainstream media with articles about the impact of science on people in low- and middle-income countries, leading to big increases in the number of SciDev.Net articles that have been republished.
