INESC Porto - Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering of Porto - is a private non-profit institution, declared of public interest by the Portuguese Government and awarded by the Ministry of Science with the statute of Associated Laboratory (LA) to the State. Its main activities are scientific research and technological development as well as consulting and advanced training in the areas of Telecommunications and Multimedia, Power Systems, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Information and Communication Systems and Optoelectronics. INESC Porto is a research institution working as an interface between the academic world and the worlds of industry, services and Public Administration.
