National Oceanography Centre - a joint partnership between the University of Southampton and the Natural Environment Research Council - is one of the world's leading centres of excellence devoted to research, teaching, technology development and provision of infrastructure in ocean and earth sciences. The purpose-built waterfront centre houses around 450 research, lecturing and support staff, as well as over 600 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
