NanoInnovation 2025, Conference and Exhibition is a flagship event for innovation and technological development, representing a well-established meeting point for the wide and multidisciplinary community involved in the development of nanotechnology and its integration with other key enabling technologies (KETs), in all fields of application. This year, topics underlying innovation, nanomedicine, nanomaterials, energy, and related ecosystems will receive special attention to enhance the technological and social return on investment in research and higher education.

The event will once more gather researchers, technologists, managers, entrepreneurs, and investors who will share their experiences, opinions, and expectations on the topics proposed this year, with a constant focus on the world of nanotechnology. As in previous editions, special attention will be paid to the direct involvement of young researchers, doctoral students, and students to support their inclusion in the professional world and foster their role as protagonists in the future of our society.

The event will include scientific plenary sessions; parallel scientific and technical sessions and parallel thematic symposia (poster and oral presentations on selected topics); training courses/schools, joint events and special events; satellite events; and an exhibition gathering European/international programmes, companies, universities, and research centers.

On 15 September at 6pm, COST will host a session with 7 COST Actions (Guest Event GE.II). Their representatives will share their experience in COST, exploring how COST Actions help advance knowledge and strengthen the research in their respective scientific fields, and presenting many advantages which membership of their Action has afforded them. The session will close with a networking cocktail offerd for attendees. COST Actions at this session will be announced here soon.
Last year, the following Actions took part:
- European Materials Acceleration Center for Energy (EU-MACE)
- Data-driven Applications towards the Engineering of functional Materials: an Open Network (DAEMON)
- Supramolecular LUminescent Chemosensors for Environmental Security (LUCES)
- Advanced Engineering and Research of aeroGels for Environment and Life Sciences (AEROGELS)
- Innovative and sustainable TecHnologies for reducing critical raw mAterials dependence for Cleaner transportation Applications (ITHACA)
- European metal-organic framework network: combining research and development to promote technological solutions (EU4MOFs)
- Plastics monitoRIng detectiOn RemedIaTion recoverY (PRIORITY)

On 17 September at 10:50am, COST Science Officer Dr Radenka Krsmanovic Whiffen will present the COST Programme (Insight Parallel Session IS.I.A). Attendees will be able to learn about COST and its networking opportunities, its role in promoting and spreading research excellence, the aims and impact of the COST Programme, and how they can engage in COST and COST Actions by joining existing networks, by submitting their own proposal through the COST Open Call, or by becoming a COST External Expert.

Two COST Innovators Grants will be presented as well. The details of these sessions will be announced here soon.

From 15 to 19 September COST will welcome attendees at booth 13 at the exhibition area. Representatives from the COST Association and from COST Actions and COST Innovatiors Grants will be present at the booth.

We have used AlphaGalileo since its foundation but frankly we need it more than ever now to ensure our research news is heard across Europe, Asia and North America. As one of the UK’s leading research universities we want to continue to work with other outstanding researchers in Europe. AlphaGalileo helps us to continue to bring our research story to them and the rest of the world.

AlphaGalileo has helped us more than double our reach at SciDev.Net. The service has enabled our journalists around the world to reach the mainstream media with articles about the impact of science on people in low- and middle-income countries, leading to big increases in the number of SciDev.Net articles that have been republished.
