Rwanda : Des semences résistantes aux aléas du climat boostent la production

[KIGALI, SciDev.Net] Les petits exploitants agricoles au Rwanda ont obtenu des récoltes exceptionnelles de fruits et de légumes après avoir essayé des semences résistantes au changement climatique, selon des responsables du projet.

Le Projet pour des semences résistantes (Seed Resilience Project) a été inauguré en 2023 par la Fédération internationale des semences (International Seed Federation) en lien avec l’organisation agricole à but non lucratif Fair Planet, le ministère de l’agriculture du Rwanda et certaines entreprises locales de semences.

Il a pour objectif d’améliorer l’accès aux semences résistantes au changement climatique, ainsi que la productivité agricole.
