11 January 2018 Wiley

A new Journal of Orthopaedic Research (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1002/(ISSN)1554-527X) study that examined artificial joints used for total hip replacement found that ceramic components may experience less corrosion than cobalt-chromium components.

The findings may be useful for improving artificial joints in the future.
