Searching for content
Search engine
In order to find content you are interested in, you can use the search engine placed on the left hand side menu of the AlphaGalileo homepage. This search will cover all content that has ever been published on AlphaGalileo.
You can narrow your search by selecting which sections of the site you would like to search through (i.e., Science, Health) and which type of content you would like to find (i.e. press releases, books).
Please note that there are further search possibilities on the pages listing press releases, events, broadcast media, library items and links.
Advanced search
Advanced search engine (placed on the homepage below the regular search engine) allows you to conduct a more detailed search. You can choose the following criteria:
- type of release (i.e., book, broadcast media)
- time (i.e., news from entire archive or posted within the last day, 14 days)
- language
- country
- keywords
You can also search for releases that have a particular attachment, i.e. image or sound files.
For journalists only
The journalists registered with AlphaGalileo have an additional search option which allows them to view embargoed or peer-reviewed press releases only. Once you have logged in to AlphaGalileo and navigated to Press releases, you will see a drop-down menu on the top of the page. Please use this menu to display either peer-reviewed or embargoed news only.
