Cnrs And Cinaps Tv Launch Effervesciences, A New Scientific Program
19 May 2008
CNRS (Délégation Paris Michel-Ange)
In June 2008, CNRS and Cinaps TV (a new Paris area DTT channel with a focus on culture) will launch EfferveSciences, a new scientific program hosted by Antoine Spire. Every month, over the course of a interview, researchers at the top of their field will present new discoveries in terms of their significance for their own personal research and for research in their field.
EfferveSciences, produced by CNRS Images for Cinaps TV, is structured around short film extracts which illustrate the subject matter. At the end of the program, more information allows viewers to delve deeper into the subject, and to learn more about scientific progress at CNRS and about cultural and scientific news. EfferveSciences will be aired on the first Saturday of each month at 2:30 PM and re-aired twice more in the month on Cinaps TV.
. In June, Maurice Godelier, 2001 CNRS gold medallist and anthropologist at the Centre de recherche et de documentation sur l'Océanie (CREDO) will discuss «the basis for societies».
To be aired Saturday 7 June 2008 at 2:30 PM and again Tuesday 10 and Thursday 26 June 2008 at 7:30 AM.
. In July, Philippe Walter, co-director of the Laboratoire du Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musées de France (LC2RMF), will talk about the secrets of works of art.
To be aired Saturday 5 July 2008 at 2:30 PM and again Tuesday 8 and Thursday 24 July 2008 at 7:30 AM.
. In August, Monique Combescure , senior researcher at CNRS, specialist in theoretical physics at the Institut de physique nucléaire de Lyon (IPNL), will talk about mathematics and quantum physics.
To be aired Saturday 2 August 2008 at 2:30 PM and again on Tuesday 5
and Thursday 21 August 2008 at 7:30 AM.
Programming for the fall: Françoise Combes and Jean Tirole
