Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies

HITS will continue and substantially extend the successful scientific agenda of the EML Research institute. Initially, it will comprise the following research groups:

* Molecular and Cellular Modelling
* Molecular Bio-Mechanics
* Natural Language Processing
* Scientific Databases and Visualization
* Theoretical Astrophysics
* Scientific Computing

More groups will be established during the next two years. HITS is intended to closely collaborate with research labs world-wide. Therefore, a substantial share of the position is earmarked for visiting scientists who want to join our research projects for periods from a couple of weeks up to 2 or 3 years.
