Kent, University of
The University of Kent is the UK’s European University with 17,000 students. It has campuses in the UK at Canterbury, Medway and Tonbridge and also in Brussels. It is the only UK partner in the University of the Transmanche. It is among the top thirty universities in the UK according to The Guardian's 2008 Higher Education League Tables.
The University of Kent was also voted the number one university in London and the south-east for student satisfaction and tenth in the UK overall in the most recent National Student Satisfaction survey. In 2008, the University was awarded the prestigious Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education for the work of its Kent Law Clinic. According to The Sunday Times in its 2007 University Guide, Kent 'can claim to be Britain's only international university'.
More than 80% of research staff work in departments which contain research of national or international levels of excellence.
